Founder and Director
Michael Lopez
Michael’s journey is one of resilience and discovery. Overcoming early trauma and profound personal challenges, he found solace and wisdom in the ancient Native American traditions he learned while on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. These experiences ignited his passion for helping others, particularly those struggling with homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges.
With a diverse professional background that includes significant roles in property management and the hospitality industries, Michael has honed his skills in leadership, organization, and community engagement. His hands on approach and practical learning experiences have been pivotal in shaping his vision for Sky High Sanctuary.
Michael believes in the power of community, the importance of mental health, and the necessity of environmental stewardship. His personal philosophy is rooted in the idea that by facing our past and embracing holistic practices, we can create a brighter, healthier future for everyone.
